Weekly West Coast Swing Classes

West Coast Swing is a fun friendly partner dance to some great music. Although it is a partner dance you don't need to bring a partner. The classes are designed to be sociable and so are a great way of meeting new friends whilst learning all about the simple dance basics. The evening will start off with a beginners class for those who have never danced before. It will cover the basic rhythms and patterns of West Coast Swing and will teach you all you need to know to get you off to a flying start. At the end of the lesson you'll be able to string together 3 moves so that you can get on the dance floor and enjoy this fabulous dance.

After the beginners lesson there will be a short period of three or four songs that'll be perfect for you to practice what you have just learned. A short improver's class will then be taught for about 30 minutes giving you an opportunity to take a break and have a drink. Straight after the improver's there will be lots more music to dance the night away with all the people you've just met.

The improver's will develop on the beginner moves and rhythms and begin to string together patterns whilst concentrating on good lead and follow technique. It will be a much faster paced class and it is recommended that you have a good grasp of the basics and are confident in them before attempting this class.
